Ayurveda
The Mother of All Healing

Ayurveda and Yoga are sister sciences of health and longevity, sourced in India, dating back over 5,000 years.  Ayurveda is said to be the “Mother of all Healing” as many eastern healing traditions share common roots in Ayurveda, including Chinese, Tibetan, Thai, and Polarity Therapy.

Ayurveda is sourced in the five elements of life (ether, air, fire, water, and earth).  These elements form together to create the three primary doshas or constitutional types of vata, pitta, and kapha.  Each person is born with a constitution which is a unique combination of the three doshas.  Any disturbance of the doshas - due to many factors including, trauma, stress, improper diet and lifestyle habits, or seasonal fluctuations - can result in sickness and disease.

The ancient wisdom of Ayurveda provides the self knowledge necessary to live in accordance with one’s constitutional body wisdom and to uncover the roots of disease thereby restoring balance on all levels of being.

Ayurveda utilizes a thorough assessment of pulse, tongue, face, nail, and eye diagnosis to determine the underlying constitution as well as assess the current state of health.  As a system of individualized wellness, Ayurveda incorporates specific diet, lifestyle, yoga, and meditation recommendations as well as custom herbal formulas, medicated herbal oils, and a wide range of Ayurvedic therapies including massage, and pancha karma to restore and maintain optimal and radiant health.
